This lovely lady is so inspiring. She puts all of her heart into everything she does.


This past February I visited Chicago for a weekend.  My friend Sammi and I hopped on a train to attend a To Write Love on Her Arms conference, taking a few extra days to enjoy the city.  Because of our friends in the area, we spent the entire weekend in Chicago: drinking coffee, taking the ‘L’, talking late, and attending church.  Little did I know as I walked into the old theater building of Missio Dei that I was about to make a decision that would have a significant impact on the rest of my year.

As we were singing, I noticed a group of people in the back of the room, all clad in brilliant orange shirts.  As the worship leader told us to be seated, one of the orange-shirted men proceeded to barrel to the front of the church, leap onto the stage, and seize the microphone.
